Job Summary
C2 Environmental, Inc. is a small, rapidly growing business located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We focus on environmental planning, permitting and compliance services for a variety of clients including regional utility providers, federal agencies, educational institutions, local governments, and private sector developers within the Mid-Atlantic region. We are well-known for our work in the energy and infrastructure sectors where we provide a suite of services for electric transmission facilities, commercial development, and coastal and waterfront facilities. C2 Environmental is seeking a qualified individual for the UAS Specialist position.
Responsibilities
C2 is seeking a qualified individual with a background in land surveying, mapping, and UAS operations to join our growing UAS Technologies program. This position requires strong communication skills, self-management, organization, and the ability to work remotely and travel to project sites within Virginia and North Carolina.
Qualifications
- B.S. in land surveying, geomatics, environmental science, engineering, or similar field relevant to land survey/remote sensing data collection and mapping
- Staff level position requires 1-3 years experience conducting UAS flights and data processing
- Must have a current FAA Part 107 certification and ability to follow all FAA and client-directed safety requirements
- Demonstrated experience as Pilot in Charge
- Experience remote piloting in and near controlled airspace
- Experience submitting LAANC requests
- Experience with Photogrammetric data acquisition and post processing
- Demonstrated experience with flight planning, equipment inspection and maintenance, and safe and successful execution of UAS missions
- Proficient knowledge of post-data processing protocols and software including but not limited to Pix4D, Drone Deploy, GIS platforms
- Preferred experience in critical infrastructure inspections
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well in diverse groups of people and without direct supervision
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote job site locations as needed
- Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions and terrain
