Remote Pilots
The UAS Remote Pilot works with Inspectors and clients to perform inspections of fixed equipment, piping, and other assets in the energy industry.
Responsibilities
- Pilot UAS during inspection operations
- Create flight plans according to client and regulatory requirements
- Complete and obtain Job Safety Analyses, Permits, and other operational requirements
- Work with inspectors to provide high-quality, consistent data
- Assemble, pre-flight, and operate UAV systems in a safe and efficient manner
- Log and maintain all flight, data collection, and battery usage
- Collaborate with management, team members, and clients to provide documentation and recommendations as required for asset integrity management
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Required Skills
- Self-motivated
- Works well in a team environment
- Performs all tasks in a safe and repeatable manner
- Maintain a high level of ethical integrity
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain additional certifications as required
- Computer skills, including ability to learn complex data processing software
- Must have FAA Part 107 sUAS Remote Pilot certification
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, listening
- Lifting, carrying, and/or moving objects in excess of 50 pounds
- Climbing up and down ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
- Working extended hours
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Working in outdoor environments
- Exposure to extreme heat and cold
- Working in and around industrial hazards
