UAS BVLOS Pilot
Censys is looking for a highly motivated UAS BVLOS Pilot to support our mission of enabling safe, routine, and scalable BVLOS operations across a multitude of industries. This role will support demonstration events, customer training, and opportunity qualification. This UAS BVLOS Pilot will work closely in conjunction with multiple internal departments to support operational excellence and customer success.
Responsibilities:
· Safely operate the Sentaero family of aircraft in a wide variety of environments, including BVLOS, and safely operate the Mobile Command Center.
· File airspace permissions and coordinate with the FAA to ensure safe and legal light operations at demonstration and customer locations.
· Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the demonstration aircraft fleet, employing preventative maintenance strategies and collaborating closely with the production team.
· Coordinate with production teams during non-travel periods to conduct test flights of new products, payloads, and components.
· Conduct customer-specific on-the-job BVLOS training and operational guidance for current and prospective customers at various locations.
· Maintain regular communication with prospective and current customers in accordance with guidance and coordination from the Customer Success department.
· Evaluate and qualify new business opportunities as needed in support of demonstrations and DasS initiatives.
· Attend relevant trade shows and events as required.
· Plan and operate BVLOS demos around the country for resellers.
· Communicate with engineering teams to assist in diagnosing hardware and software inconsistencies encountered during operations.
· Apply Crew Resource Management (CRM) techniques to coordinate and execute complex flight operations safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
1. Must hold a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate.
2. 100+ hours of sUAS Experience as RPIC preferred.
3. 2-5 years of uncrewed flight operations experience; educational background in geospatial science preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of current aviation regulations, particularly those related to UAS and BVLOS operations.
5. Ability and willingness to complete OEM Certified Training Program upon hire.
6. Strong customer focus with the ability to professionally interface with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
9. Ability to comply with Censys Technologies Flight Standard Operating Procedures.
10. Valid Passport required.
11. Confidence operating aircraft in front of customers in unfamiliar and dynamic environments.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
