Sentinel Robotic Solutions (SRS) is seeking a motivated FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot to support commercial UAS operations and STEM education programs. This role is ideal for someone who is technically capable, safety-focused, and passionate about using drones to educate, inspect, and inspire the next generation of aviation and aerospace professionals.
SRS delivers UAS services and workforce development nationwide, supporting critical infrastructure inspections, agricultural operations, public safety training, and STEM education programs in partnership with community colleges, utilities, and government agencies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct safe, compliant UAS flight operations under 14 CFR Part 107
- Support UAS missions for:
- Infrastructure and utility inspections
- Training demonstrations and educational events
- STEM and youth education programs (classroom and hands-on)
- Assist with STEM programs including:
- Drone demonstrations and flight activities
- Classroom support and student engagement
- Setup, breakdown, and logistics for events and training days
- Perform pre-flight planning, checklists, and post-flight documentation
- Assist with basic data handling, photo/video capture, and organization
- Support equipment preparation, battery management, and general UAS maintenance
- Represent SRS professionally with students, partners, clients, and community stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (current)
- Strong understanding of UAS safety, airspace, and operational best practices
- Comfortable working with students, educators, and the public
- Ability to work outdoors and lift/carry UAS equipment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally or regionally
- Professional, dependable, and safety-oriented mindset
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with STEM, education, or youth programs
- Prior UAS training, inspection, or demonstration experience
- Familiarity with infrastructure, utility, or agricultural drone operations
- Basic knowledge of aerial imagery, mapping, or inspection workflows
- Background in aviation, engineering, robotics, or technology education
Compensation & Growth
- Initial engagement will be on a 1099 independent contractor basis
- Competitive project-based or hourly compensation, depending on assignment
- Strong performers will be considered for advancement to a salaried position as programs and operational demand continue to grow
