We design, develop, manufacture and deliver eVTOL Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS and an ecosystem of related products and services. Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for Buyer I. This position will support the Procurement team and report to the Supply Chain Manager.
The Buyer I will manage the procurement of goods and services to support company operations and product development. This role involves material procurement, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely availability of supplies to meet production demands.
Responsibilities:
- Overall procurement activities to support the business.
- Procure assigned commodities to align with production schedules and operational needs. Purchase order creation and management to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while reducing lead times, inventory levels, and material costs.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain team and all departments, internal and external teams, to address material availability and pricing inquiries.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives by analyzing supplier performance.
- Support the need to improve lead times for purchased materials to enhance flexibility and responsiveness.
- Assist with new product introduction proposals and pricing coordination for new components.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement within the aerospace industry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- MRP and ERP experience
- Have an understanding of commercial and FAR/DFAR procurement rules, regulations and documentation (preferred)
- Background Check/U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
